Making your own taco seasoning is simple, cheap and much better for you than its store-bought counterpart. So if you make tacos regularly, you may just want to stock up on some of these spices the next time you see a good sale!
TACO SEASONING
4 T. chili powder
3 T. plus 1 t. paprika
3 T. ground cumin
1 T. plus 2 t. onion powder
1 t. garlic powder
¼ t. cayenne pepper
Combine ingredients in airtight container and mix. Store until ready to use.
To prepare taco meat, brown 1 lb. of meat and then add 2 heaping tablespoons of mix and 2/3 c. water. Simmer until water is mostly evaporated.

Oh, I like this one!! I love how consciousnesses you are about food and how it pertains to our health. It’s so easy to fall into the line of thinking that stuff can’t be too bad for us if they put it in food. Boy is that wrong!!
