that’s amazing!

We are busy preparing for Easter at our house! We get to host Easter at our house this year again. After a busy morning with preschool, physical therapy and a trip to the dermatologist, Miles and I went to the store to pick up groceries for the dinner.Ā  He was pretty pleased to be able to “drive” in one of those kid carts šŸ™‚

My Mother will be bringing ham and my Mother-in-law will be bringing a side dish and I will be making roasted asparagus, rosemary focaccia, pina colada cake and cookie dough truffles. At the store, we also picked up an egg dyeing kit. I look forward to dyeing eggs with the kids on Saturday šŸ™‚

Greta has been learning all about Easter with her new set of Resurrection eggs.Ā  They are a set of plastic eggs, each containing an item (rock, spear, cloth, etc) that helps to tell the story of the Resurrection. We have been doing one egg and one page of the story each night after dinner. She LOVES this! Last night we finished the story and got to the part where Jesus was not in the tomb, but had risen from the dead. Greta exclaimed, “that’s amazing!!!”.

In past years we had just read the Easter story from the Bible as a family on the corresponding days of Holy week. We are still doing this, but now it will make much more sense to Greta!

I look forward to these eggs being a new Easter tradition for our family šŸ™‚
